THE ROTARY CLUB OF BANBRIDGE
Community & Vocational Services
Projects for 2007-08
The Rotary Club is about to renew an old alliance as a supporter of this very worthy club (click on the name for more information).
Car Raffle
In the
last eight years the Rotary Club of Banbridge has raised over £19,500
in
conjunction with the Rotary Club of Belfast East in their
annual car ballot which has raised approximately £525,000 for charities at home and far away, and it
is a great tribute to the Belfast East Club that they continue with this
marvellous project.
Local charities to benefit this year to be advised
We are indebted to Tescos and SuperValu, Banbridge for allowing us the use
of their premises for the selling of the tickets.
Last year's draw was made at the Rotary Conference in Belfast in April by the President of Rotary in Great Britain & Ireland, Mike Webb.
Do you throw away your old ink jet or laser printer cartridges
or mobile phones?
Bring them to your Rotary Club and we'll ensure that they are recycled.
The Jack and Jill Children's' Foundation will benefit by £2.50 for every cartridge
and £4.50 for every mobile phone we
receive. The organisation helps babies born with severe developmental delay - if
you would like to know more, please visit their website from our Links page. We
have already made two deliveries this Rotary year.
Already this Rotary year we have sent off three large boxes of cartridges
Donard Special School
Last year we helped them again this year with a BBQ at their sports day. They really enjoyed it!
