THE ROTARY CLUB OF BANBRIDGE
Community & Vocational Services
Projects for 2010-2011
Again we would hope to be in a position to help this very worthy cause (click on the name for more information about the organisation).
Car Raffle
In the
last eleven years the Rotary Club of Banbridge has raised over £24,000
in
conjunction with the Rotary Club of Belfast East in their
annual car ballot which has raised over half a million pounds sterling for charities at home and far away, and it
is a great tribute to the Belfast East Club that they continue with this
marvellous project.
Local charities to benefit this year to be advised
We are indebted to Tescos and SuperValu, Banbridge for allowing us the use
of their premises for the selling of the tickets.
The 2010 winner of the car lives in Ballymoney.
Do you throw away your old ink jet or laser printer cartridges
or mobile phones?
Bring them to your Rotary Club and we'll ensure that they are recycled.
The Jack and Jill Children's' Foundation will benefit by £2.50 for every cartridge
and £4.50 for every mobile phone we
receive. The organisation helps babies born with severe developmental delay - if
you would like to know more, please visit their website from our Links page.
Last year we sent off three large boxes of cartridges, last year we have sent off 2 large boxes.
Fund raising events are being organised. We've had our social evening in the form of a stewnight, and we will probably have a barbeque during the summer months, and President's Night can be expected to raise funds also.
